What are the reasons for these problems? They can be different – overly optimistic approach, not knowing the technology deeply enough, not enough commitment from the top management, poor communication. And one of the main reasons for all these things to happen is the lack of formal education in the project management area among the people who execute project management tasks. A serious number of IT experts and manager work on gut feelings instead of using proven knowledge. As a result – the statistics of successful software projects is very low.
