Managing Risk in Software Projects
Audience
The course is intended for all professionals who deal with risk analysis and risk management – project managers, product managers, functional managers and team leaders. It introduces students to the main activities and tasks they have to do to track and to control the risks in the process of managing a project. The principles of risk management are general and they don’t depend on the type of project you run although the course is primarily focused on software development projects.
Prerequisites
It is desired that the participants are directly involved in the process of planning the tasks, estimating the time and the budget of the project and are responsible for controlling and managing the risks in order to be able to understand better the presented material and to participate actively in the hands-on exercises.
The course is lead in Bulgarian and is intended for Bulgarian participants. It can be lead in English for foreign participants upon customer request.

Duration and Agenda
The course takes one full day and is scheduled in four blocks consisted of lectures lead by a lecturer, hands-on exercises based on a real-life cases, and group discussions on the made decisions.
There are lunch and coffee breaks between the blocks.

Certificate
At the course completion the participants receive a certificate for having a formal training on project management for 5 contact hours, which equal to 5 PDUs before the PMI for obtaining or renewing a PMP certificate.
Lecturer
The course is lead by Mihail Mihaylov (Mike Ramm) – a project manager with an extensive practical experience, well-known speaker among the Bulgarian IT society, and CEO of RammSoft.
